A Letter From the Chair:

On behalf of the organizing committee, volunteers and professional staff of the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, UJA Federation, I thank you for contributing to the success of Holocaust Education Week 2009. The dedication of our cadre of committed volunteers and staff ensures that programming of an exceptional calibre can be provided. This is truly a labour of love for everyone involved.

Your attendance and support for our programs honoured the memory of those who were murdered in the Holocaust and paid tribute to those who survived. Our 170 educational programs reached nearly 32,000 participants across the province, making this year our most successful year ever.

Like you, we are committed to preserving the memories and legacies of the past to educate future generations. However, much work remains to be done to combat the antisemitism and Holocaust denial that continues to percolate in one form or another around the world. Join us in ensuring that Holocaust education and remembrance continues as a means of nurturing an inclusive society for all Canadians.

Upcoming events include:

  • January 18, 2010 ? Raoul Wallenberg Day Commemoration
  • January 27, 2010 ? International Holocaust Remembrance Day
  • For more information about these events please contact our office at 416.635.2883 ext. 5153

Yours sincerely,

Lorraine Sandler
